The Associated Press should know better, DAMMIT!

"In this May 20, 2008 file photo, a row of C17 Globemaster airplanes are seen at the US military airbase in Ramstein, southwest Germany."

Hey, AP: You're talking about the "row." "Row" is singular. The row IS seen. The planes ARE seen, but the sentence is about the row, not about the planes.

OTOH, your AP Stylebook is excellent.
