Recently,
The New York Times, the "Gray Lady," the hallowed arbiter of "all the news that's fit to print," "the newspaper of record" and my favorite paper since first grade, published a
column by Virginia Heffernan. She discussed recent changes in the book business and wrote, "It’s hard to remember the stigma that once attached to self-publishing."
Apparently some of Virginia's co-workers have not yet gotten the news that the stigma has been removed, because it's extremely hard to get the
Times to print a review of a self-pubbed book.
