The current Republican presidential nominating process has led to an abnormally high number of speeches. Sadly, lots of the public pronouncements make me want to puke.
Presidential wannabes ranging from hillbillies like Perry and Cain, and even Harvard-educated Romney (and Harvard-educated actual-presidents Obama and Bush) seem to be unable to say the simple phrase, "going to."
All day long, candidates, government officials and even newscasters lapse into the infantile contraction, "gunna."
Office-holders and media people should should set a good example for the American public -- especially for young people. Sloppy speech is simply not acceptable.
People who say "gunna" should have their diplomas revoked.
